| | Q: | I make a living working in nightclubs serving liquor, I make enough money to support the needs of the household and that is all I've been doing for 12 years now. My question is: When all you know as far as what you've been trained in and taught working is in the selling of alcohol to individuals ,if you want to get baptized, do you wait until you can afford to get out of the business? I have changed my life dramatically by not drinking, eating unclean foods or smoking cigarettes and not working on the Sabbath but financially I cannot leave my job right now, so do I wait to get baptized? | | A: | I don't think the question is whether you should be baptized or not but rather whether you have the faith to believe that God can provide you with the work you need to support your family. He has dramatically changed your life, I believe he is ready to go on when you are willing to let him. He has pointed out that if we seek first the Kingdom of heaven and his righteousness our needs will be supplied. Please read Matthew 6:25-33 |
