Methods of communicating the gospel are either correctly representing it or misrepresenting it and thereby inventing a new gospel. Some commercial advertisers have turned this concept into a well-honed science. Likewise, the methods used to promote the gospel are never program-neutral. They either rightly represent the gospel as it is in Jesus or misrepresent it, or the method itself becomes what amounts to a new gospel. Though we could conceivably choose among many methods to preach the gospel, the ones that we choose should be consistent with what the gospel is all about. |
