Yes, the pastor did a sermon titled "Interview with the Boss". It was excellent. I think it was a response to George Knight's article in the Review titled "If I were the Devil" in which Knight trashed positions held by Adventist conservatives. Knight must have gotten that idea for the title from Paul Harvey.

Knight wrote a book titled "Confessions of a Former Pharisee" which has been out of print for years. It apparently told how he was once a mean Pharisee and left the ministry for a time. I guess he returned as a mean liberal.

I had a friend who was very sensitive to anything that sounded critical of liberal positions such as rock music drama etc. He once said "I use to shoot liberals." I later thought of responding by saying "so now you shoot conservatives. So what's the difference?
