Gun Control
« on: August 27, 2015, 07:51:42 AM »

It is amazing how gun control people think with their hearts and not their minds. Gun control will always have severe limitations. No matter how stringent the control it will have very little effect for good. All it tends to do is restrict the responsible people. Guns will always be available to those who have a serious desire to get one. Drugs are illegal true ( well some of them) and how well do they control THEM ?  Minimally.

What will they try next ? Have all potential gun owners go through mental evaluation and stress testing. That will not work because seemingly sensible people snap every day and often crazys are artful in cloaking their condition..

What grieving people are doing is drawing at straws and reaching for solutions that will never work. What is the answer ? The second coming of Jesus !  Ought we have gun laws ? Of course and we do. Can they and a myriad of new stringent laws have any real impact on gun violence? No. I do not own a hand gun.

Automobile accidents kill many people. Yet people are texting, phoning, and driving while under medications that hamper their thinking ability. However, relatively little is said compared to all the talk about guns. How quick and easy is it to cross the center line and create a 120 mph crash with an oncoming car ?

People are saying " but we got to do something !!!" How many have been praying about it rather than thinking another law will make a violent society safe ? How many that want more laws are allowing their children to kill mentally through video games which train them for violence ? Scott Reitsma in his seminar states that the same synapses that snap when a person commits a violent act in real life snap when the person watches the act on TV or a video game. The same triggers  are often pulled in the mind whether the person observes the act or does it. Scientists claim that they can test this and it is true.

The Lord, however already knew about this when in Scripture it says, by beholding we become changed. Those who think otherwise are in deception. Parents often say, " well my kids watch that stuff and they are not killing anybody."  Well, not yet and because they have not or may not kill anybody does not mean that they are not more aggressive and more twisted in their thinking.

It is an sad fact that terrorist groups often train their children to become terrorists by watching violence on video.

Americans train their youth to become terrorists much the same way and expect a different result. Perhaps the focus on guns is entirely off the mark. I have yet to hear of a gun killing someone.

it is not going to happen that everyone will turn in their guns...

BUT you can stop selling bullets...

OR only sell them rubber bullets...

it is bothersome when gang members have the really big guns and the police have little hand guns...  gang members shooting 'ratta tat tat' and police shooting back..'pop.... pop... pop'

yes, have had guns in the past but gave them all up... can shoot rife and hand guns but would rather have a sword...  the Word of God and protection from above would be more important than anything this earth can muster up

and for the crowd control...  tear gas is really not that effective... they put on masks or scarves and come back for more...

suggesting a type of cannon and shoot bumble bees and hornets at the crowd... watch them disperse then....  and these guys will the next day pollinate the flowers...  God was going to send the Giants of the land out with hornets... pretty effective weapon in my good book...

"COMMON GROUND? Bipartisan support grows to restrict gun sales for those on terror-watch lists- "

That sounds good but the questions still arise-

#1 Will restricting legal gun sales for those on a terrorist-watch list stop a terrorist from getting a gun ?
#2 Who decides who is on a terror-watch list ?

1. Not really. Guns are about as accessible on the streets as are drugs...and that's pretty accessible for a highly motivated killer.
2.  Being on a terror- watch list could easily and will turn into anyone who is opposed to the image of the beast.
What else will they one day restrict those on a terror-watch list from buying ? Phone, food, ....

You mean the terrorist watch list that Orlando was on? What good is a so-called watch list when the ones who supposed to watch it are too incompetent and/or too politically corrected not wanting to offend a singled out suspect?

I get your point, Carl. I doubt if they will be quite so sloppy in the future, however.

Gun control won't take away the anger that is escalating in this world.   Those that understand the Great Controversy that this world is acting out understand that more laws will do nothing to stem the tide of those under the influence of the master deceiver.  But more laws will give more tools to those whose aim it is to completely control all the masses.
