Hi
« on: March 18, 2015, 07:36:19 PM »
Hi! My good friend adventmom2_4 told me about this forum and it looks great, so I decided to join :-) I live in an unfinished (but snug and warm!) house on just under 4 acres. My husband is an avid gardener; I like to pick and preserve the stuff he grows. Also like to cook (blog: https://toocheapforpinenuts.wordpress.com/), tend our two daughters (5 and 2.5) and two cats (6.5 and 5), and play music. I teach the kindergarten Sabbath school at my church and really enjoy that.

Hi, roses; welcome to the forum.  As you can see, there are numerous topics to peruse, and your thoughts are always welcome.

I understand the "unfinished house" routine.  We moved into our basement in 1989, and spent the next 18 years building the rest of the house (with a lot of help from friends and relative who knew what they were doing in construction)--as funds became available.  But it's ours, not the bank's.

Hi Rose;

I can see we have much in common. We live on 5 acres, have 4 cats, love to garden and cook. I am currently building a small cold frame 4'x4' to put my seedlings in.

Yep, we have a loan on the land, but thankfully not the house :-) After spending 2.5 years in a 29' trailer that was drafty and leaky and moldy, this is like heaven.

My husband and I just planted our tomato seeds (in pots on the windowsill) a couple days ago. I sure hope they all thrive! Last year I canned a lot of them and we have almost used them all already.

Hi and welcome.

Since you are here in digital but not in person - may we all at this forum extend these digital flowers in welcome.

May you walk through the ups and downs of our topics in joy, hope, edified reflection of our Creator and Redeemer.

And even if disagreements may we all still be sweetly fragrant to each other and with each other and have more fruits of His Spirit after discussing than before.

Grateful for Psalms 32 and Titus 2:10 While it is true that God gives the message from Scripture and SOP. The taste I give to others about the message sells it or kills it, I learn to walk it well & cook it well & eat it myself, before I preach it.  Then the SDA message appeals by His righteousness.
