Please pray for my mother

Hello All,
I'm asking for prayers for my 91-year-old mother, Betty. She fell in November and has been declining ever since. She had no breaks or serious complications, but tendonitis kept her from cooperating with the physical therapist who tried to help her walk again after her two weeks in the hospital. So now she is bed-bound.
She was previously living in her own apartment, but she is now in a private home where the caregiver has several other people in her care. Never one to take medications or even an aspirin, the doctor now has her on about six medications, which I personally think has made her feel bad and sick to her stomach.
Since she has been largely immobile, her congestive heart failure has gotten worse (previously it wasn't bad at all), she's developed a bad bed sore, and her system seems to be shutting down. Hospice is now with her, and there has already been an anointing service.
The family has committed her to God's care, but please pray for her and ask God to give her comfort and peace, ease her suffering, and help her to remember His love and promises. And may His will be done.
Even at her age it is hard for me to give up on her because previously there was very little wrong with her. I feel with proper care, this thing could be turned around. But as happens when an elderly person falls, it can set them on a downward track that is hard to reverse.
I thank you for your prayers, and may God bless you.

Mom died last Sabbath evening, Jan. 18, and her graveside service was yesterday, here in Orlando. What a blessed time we had with Mom before she died, and we were all truly uplifted by all the prayers. God has given so much peace, healing, forgiveness, love, assurance and even joy. It is amazing to me, really, how God has been blessing us.
My mother was my best friend, and I will miss her terribly. But God has given me the comfort and peace that passes ALL understanding. What a wonderful day it will be when we meet again.
Thank you for your prayers,
Vicki
P.S. I have a old classmate (Bob) who offered to sing a couple songs with his guitar at the service. I said, "Sing anything you like."
One song he chose was ..."Savior, Like a Shepherd Lead Us." My aunt later told me that it was Mom's favorite hymn...one Mom had asked her to sing at my parents' wedding reception in 1946. I had no idea that was her favorite, and neither did Bob. He also chose "Amazing Grace." He didn't know my grandmother's (my mother's mother) name was Grace, or that it's my mother's middle name, as well as mine and my niece's.
We are still amazed at His grace.

Sorry to hear this, Vicki. We all face it sooner or later. Both of my wife's parents died many years ago, and my dad went about 10 years ago. I Thess. 4:16-18 is always a comfort.
One thing I find frustrating is the fact that as we get older, we see life from a different perspective, and it would be nice to be able to compare notes with and bounce ideas off of our parents and grandparents. Many times I especially wish my grandfather were around to give me his perspective. I should take comfort in the fact that we'll have all eternity to compare notes with whomever we wish.
