I'll say the "Revivalist" designation fits Newbie well.  :-)
Are you talking to me?  I'm so confused with my 'newbie' name being thrown around that I don't know who is talking to me or not.  If you are then thank you but I must say I have a long way to go....  I hope that some day I can live up to the designation in a real life way.

God Bless,
newbie (rookie in the faith) baptized in 2000 only

Laz said:  It just occurs to me that by titling this thread "No More Hero" it might have sounded like I was suggesting that title be discontinued. Actually I wasn't. My thread title just had to do with my having "lost" my recently bestowed hero title after some posts were deleted.

But, I like the new system and if I've unintentionally inspired it then my week has been worthwhile.

I like it too and understood perfectly what you were saying and thought it kinda thought provoking and glad that things have been updated.  :)

Don't everybody get too happy with their status. There are still more threads I have to delete. We'll probably all be demoted in one fell swoop when the pastor gets back. :-D

Well thought out??? LOL... Actually, I think those are the default status levels that are programmed into the SMF software.

Here's what the levels currently look like....

Beginner 0+ posts, 1 star/10
Scholastic 50+ posts, 1 star/10
Professional 100+ posts, 1 star/100
Specialist 500+ posts, 1 star/100
Enthusiast 1000+ posts, 1 star/250
Revivalist 2500+ posts, 1 star/500
Philanthropist 5000+ posts, 1 star/500

what the 1 star/# means, is additional star per that many posts.  The thought behind the levels is the amount of verbage such a high quantity of posts would contain... ;)  We've tried to avoid levels that refer too strongly to a specific arena, such as sports. However, it seems to be difficult to find 7 or more words that somewhat go together without strong connotations!

Thanks for the info.  I  had no idea how this all worked.  Very interesting.  If you ever change them again, I put my tiny vote for "veteran" somewhere in the mix.

Wow, that was fun.  I had no idea I could change the font size.  Gives me a feeling of control.  I told you I was technologically challenged (or blissfully ignorant, depending on your perspective).

Maybe at 2000 posts you should then reverse the count and eliminate at zero.   Someone pmed me the other day and said that my posts passed 4000 and then suddenly reversed back below 4000. I do not pay much attention to count.

If you'd like to start over, Cp, we could always facilitate it... but browsing around this forum nobody would believe it! You currently have more posts than anyone else.

Your count dropped because Larry and Pastor O'Ffill are deleting old discussions.

Oh to be a Newbie again. Sigh.  :-D

Incidently, I think Newbie needs to change her pin name. When pushing 3000 posts how can you be a Newbie ?  :-D

No! I seriously dislike when people even change their avatars.  (That's why I don't have one yet, I haven't found the ideal one.)

Agatha, I love your sunflower, but it was like you dyed your hair blue when you changed it from the wheat sheaf (or whatever it was called.)

Our avatars & handles are the only thing we know each other as ... OK, I will get used to it if you change, but it won't be the same for a lonnnnng time.

- my 2 cents -

I'm fine with Newbie. I think of you as Newbie ____ (insert your first name there).

That's 2 for... and no response from the rest.

So, I guess I will always be the resident newbie and if Jesus doesn't come back for another 20 years or so maybe I will change it then.

And, reaching, I used to like changing my avatars often, but our of respect for your wishes, I will stay the same.  I'm really fine with it either way....

Some that I talk to on the phone still call me newbie on the phone even when they know my name.  I get a kick out of it.
