Title: Where would you go?
Post by: Richard OFfill on September 30, 2018, 08:03:15 PM
There is a fundamental difference between the message that is preached by, say, the Baptists and the message that is preached by the Adventists. The question that our Baptist friends always ask is, Where would you go if you were to die tonight? That is a good question, especially for the person who will, in fact, die tonight.

However, the message that was sent by God to be preached by Seventh-day Adventists to believers and nonbelievers alike is not for the dead but for the living. And it is a message like John the Baptist preached: "Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight His path" (Mark 1:3).

So ours is a much more wonderful message than the gospel preached by other churches in that it is not one that tells you how to die and be saved, rather how to live and be saved.

The same question could be asked in terms of where one would go if they left the SDA Church.  Anyone who really understands present truth has no other choice, not really.  Virtually all the other Christians Churches claim Sunday as their holy day, with no Scriptural backing, not to mention other heretical beliefs.  Muslims worship a false god, and deny the deity of Jesus Christ. And pagan religions, really?  There really is no other place to go without rejecting solid Biblical truth.  Nothing else makes any sense.  The doctrines (i.e., teachings) of the SDA Church are the most logical and consistent of any philosophy or religion that exists.

Oh, yeah, I forgot one other philosophy:  atheism and it's evolutionary fairy tales.  One must be a true science denier to buy into that bunch of nonsense.

John 6:66-69  From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.  Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?  Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.  And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.

They would have to be content to go into darkness.
