Title: How to avoid heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, etc.
Post by: newbie on January 29, 2018, 05:58:03 PM
Seems like the best berry on the planet is Indian gooseberry.  In its powdered form, it is called 'amla'.

It is anti cancer, anti diabetes, lowers blood pressure, lowers risk of blood clots but not too low, cleans out arteries, and the list goes on and on.

It is the highest berry in antioxidants that has ever been tested.

Take 1/2 tsp a day of the powdered stuff and you will begin to notice changes gradually after 4 weeks or so.  If you get the dried gooseberries, probably a tablespoon of the dried berries.

Here's the bad news...  the gooseberries are very bitter.  I hydrate them overnight in water and I'm used to the bitter taste now so it is not a problem for me.   If I take the powder, I found that it irritated my stomach so now I take it in a fruit smoothie and we're just fine.

If you are on meds for medical conditions, it might be a good idea to work with your doctor to keep checking your blood levels as you just might be able to get off your medications.

The research information comes from dr michael greger at nutritionfacts.org.
