I tried to phone Pastor O'Ffill but I got a message that the phone was out of service. I assume that is still the case due to the power outages.

In Northern CA where I live there are numerous fires and the smoke is often very bad. A few days ago I prepared as best I could to evacuate, but I thank God that so far it has not been necessary.

Thank you for putting this ? up.  Have been concerned about Pastor O'Ffill and others in that area.

Larry,  I live around 200 miles north of you.  The closest fire here is around 50+ miles so am not near evacuation   threat.  But the smoke is so really tiresome, not to mention unhealthy.   :uhoh:  We had several clear days but smoke is back again.  If the low sweeps in and rains on Sunday that should clean the air again.  Everyone have a wonderful weekend and a very blessed Sabbath.

We need to keep the earthquake victims in Mexico in our prayers.

There are many people concerned about the Pastor & his family, as well as other members in the storm & fire areas! Doesn't  anyone have any information about their safety???

maybe he had a windows 7 and had it crash like everyone else...  they sent out a patch and it crashed all windows 7 computers so everyone would have to buy new computers...

Was this windows 7 crash just in Florida?  Cause it didn't crash here.

if you were connected on line when the patch went out, it would have crashed your win 7 anywhere.  All my friends had theirs crash.

I tried to call the pastor a few days ago but couldn't get through. Probably due to power outage. I will try again. Coincidentally, we had visitors on Sabbath who are from Florida. They told me that the pastor's daughter is a member of their local church. I told them that when they see his daughter ask her to tell her dad if she has contact with him to contact us if he can.

The pastor is OK. Someone posted a picture of him and his wife on facebook. They are in Germany and he will be preaching at a local church there this coming Sabbath.

Ed, if you are asking about the Autumn Council meetings. Today they were live streamed from the GC website, and also carried on Hope Channel. There is a few seconds difference in the two, so I watched it on Hope channel.

If you are asking about the Pastor's sermon, he is preaching at a local church in Germany, so I doubt if it will be broadcast. I don't know if it was recorded.

I am very thankful to have escaped a rapidly burning Anaheim Hills fire.  Was forced to evacuate for 2 days.
There were homes destroyed within 500 feet of my neighborhood. Great firefighting efforts to save my home.
So sorry for many who lost their homes.

Glad you are ok.  Just today was looking at more videos showing the neighborhoods that were devastated and some of the fires while they were burning.   It is hard to grasp the enormity.  The drone going from a neighborhood that wasn't touched to the next street and everything is burned for as far as one could see.

Thankful also, Stan! That you are safe, & you didn't lose your home! 500 feet is too close!

Years ago when we lived in Angwin, there was a lightning strike that ignited a fire on Mt. St Helena. That fire jumped miles in three directions: to the Santa Rosa area where my brother was logging; to some property he owned near Sonoma; & towards Angwin & PUC. The fire was stopped about three miles from the college. A lot of us who lived there joined the fire crews. A small group of two or three became surrounded by the fire & radioed for help on a walkie-talkie, but the command center couldn't hear their desperate calls. The wife of one on the trapped men, who worked in the college business office was listening to the radio traffic on a two-way radio. She was able to pick up the signal & heard her husband calling. She relayed his message to the command center. They were able to make water drops & get them out of there. There was a lot of thanksgiving for God's protection for the ones fighting the fire & that it was stopped short of the college.

Stan, praise God that your neighborhood was spared! I can't imagine what it was like for those who lost everything. You have probably seen the devastation of some large residential areas of Santa Rosa.

"So ye [we] in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors" (Mark 13:29).
