Hey all! Stopped in to say hi and see what the hot topics are. I can sense we are getting very close to the end. God is withdrawing His Spirit and things are getting more divided, nastier and more compromised. Lukewarm Laodiceanism ( under the guise of "balance") is becoming the method and means, as well as message, in many places these days.

I sense the same things...getting closer and closer....
but we can still keep our eyes and faith on Jesus

Wow! where have you been? I have thought of you at times, especially when I was wanting a quick thinking sda apologist who would take on some of the difficult hot topics. Now, if we had Colporteur back and the "marginal" man things would liven up around here. :-D (I'm just kidding about the last one).
Yes, lines are being drawn and rebellion is very open and the shaking will soon be in full force. And halleluia God is still in charge. There are movements going in two directions. One with the "progressive" agenda and all that entails, and the other towards revival and reformation, with focus on the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy and raising our banners high.

Larry, Believe it or not, "Charles" showed up at my home church a few weeks ago. He attended my Sabbath school and even stayed for potluck and had sat with me and my family. He seemed nice and reasonable. I think the wall of anonymity of the internet sometimes makes people into something they are not in reality. Ed White ( God rest his soul) was also much nicer in person as has been the case with every online poster I have met in person. While Doug did show some subtle signs of his "Margino-ness" he was nonetheless very cordial and was willing to reason and listen. He is no different from many at my church in regards to his views. I have found my "Zealness" coming back slowly...to the chagrin of the liberals at church. My wife has convinced me that that is the real me, and that it is not something I need be ashamed of.:)

I agree that he was a friendly guy. He even offered to come and visit me on a trip he made through California one summer but it would have been too far out of the way. I noticed a 2 or 3 years ago he wrote an article in the Review. I have found that a theological disagreement between two people doesn't necessarily mean they can't be friends.

Greetings;
Sorry for the slow response. Was out canvassing today. Tough day, cold people in the area I worked. Perhaps the local Catholic Monastery has something to do with that. :-D I left a publication in their church entry.
Good to be back and see some of the old friends I have not seen in awhile. A lot of water under the bridge since then.

I'm back ! :-D
if this is who I think it is, welcome back...
and I have just one thing to say... a long time ago you said that if the church allowed WO that gay rights wouldn't be far behind.... well, brother I believe that you were right on all counts with that one...
how does it feel to be right... :-D
