Title: Trusting Jesus
Post by: GraceVessel on July 01, 2011, 08:21:37 AM
Was riding to work today and thinking about how to be more thankful and started humming this old song that John Thurber used to sing with the His Way Trio -- Trusting Jesus

These are simple but powerful words.
1.  Simply trusting every day,
     Trusting through a stormy way;
     Even when my faith is small,
     Trusting Jesus, that is all.

Refrain --
Trusting as the moments fly,
Trusting as the days go by;

It's not in our hymnal... I found it in a Baptist Hymnal book and copied the words out of it.

Another hymn i cannot find... Resting in the shelter of His love... the Thurber brothers sang it also .. and this one is from their family album.

with kind regards,

Thanks Gracevessel for sharing this wonderful hymn.

It was written in 1876 by Edgar Stiles and Ira Sankey:

The melody and words can be found at this link:

Folks, all of us who post here have trials of one kind or another. That is part of living the Christian life.

But through any of our trials, no matter what they may be, we can surely trust Jesus and His promises in His inerrant, inspired, infallible word.

One day at a time trusting everyday. He is ever faithful.
