Title: When it rains it pours
Post by: eon on September 22, 2008, 04:25:43 PM
Its been a while since I have actually logged in here, but I do visit daily :)  I am asking if you can pray for me as I am going through a trough spot right now. I am currently looking for work, and am sending out my resume's to different places. Thank God I am getting responses, but I am quite stressed out and being in a different country far from family makes one feel vulnerable on top of bills, and all sorts of things. Its almost too much for me to bear.
I dont want to go into details, but I do believe there are a few righteous people here, and the prayer of a righteous man (or woman) availeth much.
Thank you.

Eon I will offer my prayers in your behalf. Thank you for asking. God loves to answer prayer. Prayers of His peopole are like incense to the Father.

Life hurts...but those hurts and problems are an invitation for God to hold up His children...as for you and me and many...that is a great comfort.

Where would "any" be without falling "into" to safety of the Father's love and ever present help....?

Eon....it is God's pleasure to keep you close.

God's Blessings'
Deborah

We live in troubled times and we must pray for each other.

Eon,
Thanks for sharing with us your prayer requests.

There will be many people praying for you tonight, as I find a very supportive group here for prayer requests. I will add my prayer for God to comfort your troubled heart and to help you find employment.

Eon, I just saw your request tonight...I hope God has given you peace in your situation. My prayers are being added to the others. Remember that God wants your faith in Him to grow so at times He needs to put us in a position where all we have is Him...it's difficult, but you can find comfort and peace in that, too.

God bless.

Thank you all. Its been difficult to say the least, and I realized several key things that did not drive me away from God, but closer to Him:

1. Everyone has failed me in my tight and difficult situation which resulted me in seeking God's face more earnestly and asking Him to lead me in my day to day affairs.

2. Someone near and dear to my heart is now sober and clean, and told me she wants to go to church with me (AMEN!) after several months of being patient and working with her on getting clean naturally. She decided to do this on her own, and asked that I help her with a plan for her recovery, and it is going very well.. So far 40 days clean and sober from one of the most addictive substances and I am not talking about cigarettes, alcohol or coffee either.. She is slowly acknowledging God, and I catch her out of the corner of my eye praying quickly right before we eat which is a miracle in itself! I am humbled God is using such an obtuse instrument as myself for this, and its a lesson for me as well in How God has and is so patient with me.

3. I have been getting calls for more contract jobs, in which I am following up today to set up interviews (AMEN!)

4. Because I stepped into the enemies territory and God used me to pull someone out from a hopeless pit, I am on the enemies hit list which is one of the reasons this is happening.

I always keep everyone here in my prayers, if not by real name, or nick name I always use brothers and sisters on the forum as when referring to you all. I am pretty sure God knows :) You are all such wonderful people, seriously. I wish I could meet you all, but if not here, definitely on the sea of glass.

I have learned the word Surrender hands on, and am thankful and know by faith that God is with me. It's just going through it you know? The uncertainty, lack of funds and everything else has me choked, but all I can see in my mind is "Don't give up!"

Thank you all so much, you are all in my prayers we need to keep each others arms held up so to speak in these times.

I have an interview this Friday to work up north (3+hour drive), clearly out of the big city, and into the country side, as well as another position that is available in the city. All I know is that I thank God for being there, and for your prayers as it has been tough.
In these times I wonder if God is basically doing "radical  extraction" in getting me to leave the city and heading North Bound.. I have never been there, don't know my way around, but know that he is with me!

You are all in my prayers daily (not just before I go to bed!). With the way things are, I pray that God shield us all and that we may find a refuge in Him.

I wanted to let you all know I got the job!! I have 2 weeks to get my things together and move out far away from the city into a country life, and I am going to be looking for an SDA church to attend up there as well. I thank God for being with me and to continue guiding me as this situation has brought me closer to Him.

Good deal!  You will not be sorry for leaving the city.  Your stress level will decrease significantly once you get all your affairs arranged.
